Market Report: Overall Sales Increase 20%, 12 Counties Post Gains
Twelve of TREND's 13 counties posted increases in residential sales activity for March 2010. Those numbers were 20.2 percent higher than numbers recorded in March 2009, according to statistics generated by MLS Blue. There were 4,539 sales in March 2010, compared to 3,777 in March 2009. The increased numbers sparked gains in all counties, except Salem County, NJ.
Sale Prices Remain Steady
Despite the strong sales, average sale prices remained steady – increasing only 0.7 percent when comparing numbers from March 2010 to March 2009. Overall, prices increased in six counties. Burlington County, NJ had the highest increase at 10.5 percent.
